Your responsibility :

• In your role, you support the Head of Accounting of the Public Prosecutor's Office in her daily leadership duties and represent her in her absence.
• At the same time, you are part of the small team within the Central Services of the Public Prosecutor's Office, which is responsible, among other things, for the entire debt collection process. This includes, in particular, the posting of incoming payments as well as the dunning and debt enforcement procedures. In addition, you support the accounting team in all administrative tasks and have daily (telephone) contact with persons liable to pay.

Your background :

• Thanks to a commercial or equivalent education, practical knowledge in accounting, leadership experience, IT application skills, and very good written and spoken German, you will quickly find your way in your new role.
• Even if the phone rings several times in a row, you keep your composure and, with the help of your oral foreign language skills (French and/or Italian and/or English), you can communicate with the majority of callers.
• You contribute an important part to the work performance of a small department by working independently and completing your tasks efficiently and accurately, so that you can take responsibility for them at any time.
• Integrity and confidentiality are absolutely essential for this position.
• With your personality, you enrich a harmonious and helpful team, and with your work attitude, you realise the fundamental idea of Central Services to support the entire authority and its employees.

Public Prosecutor's Office

The Public Prosecutor's Office Basel-Landschaft is affiliated to the Security Directorate of the Canton Basel-Landschaft and consists of four main departments, the Central Services and the staff, and conducts all criminal proceedings for crimes, offences and misdemeanours against adult persons. It brings and represents the prosecution before the competent court and issues penal orders, dismissal orders and non-prosecution decisions. In addition, the Public Prosecutor's Office provides national and international legal assistance in criminal matters.
