As a regionally well-established healthcare institution, the Réseau de l’Arc offers comprehensive care to its patients.
The network includes two hospital locations in Moutier and Saint-Imier as well as nine Medicentres, including the one in Biel/Bienne. The range of services is complemented by an emergency service, two nursing homes (EMS), two radiology institutes, a centre for physical and cognitive therapies, and a hospital-at-home service.

For our general medical practice in Biel, we are looking for:
One or two Medical Practice Assistants (MPA) m/f/d
(1 x 100% or 2 x 50–60%)
This position requires versatility, as you will be working both in our general medical practice and in our walk-in clinic. The walk-in clinic is an emergency practice with consultations both with and without appointments.
Job Description
- Professional and friendly reception, care and accompaniment of patients.
- Management of the telephone switchboard, appointment scheduling, and handling of messages.
- Performing routine treatments such as blood draws, injections and infusions, as well as assisting doctors with specific medical procedures.
- Conducting usual diagnostic examinations: laboratory analyses, ECG, conventional radiology, 24-hour blood pressure monitoring, sleep apnoea screening, spirometry, etc.
- Administrative management of patient records as well as handling administrative tasks to ensure smooth practice operations.
- Active participation in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth running of daily medical activities.
Qualifications
- Completed training as a Medical Practice Assistant (EFZ).
- Professional experience in a medical practice, medical centre, or outpatient emergency area is an advantage.
- Strong social skills and a high service orientation.
- Dynamic, flexible and versatile personality with the ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
- Ability to prioritise and work independently and carefully.
- Strong team spirit and willingness to contribute to a cooperative working atmosphere.
- Very good knowledge of French and good knowledge of German. Additional language skills are an advantage.
