The Office for the Enforcement of Sentences (AJV) Graubünden is a department of the Department of Justice, Security and Health of the Canton of Graubünden. The AJV is responsible for the enforcement of sentences and measures as well as the implementation of various types of detention. In Graubünden, the enforcement of sentences and measures is regulated as a unified field and holistic task, in which various professional groups work interdisciplinarily with offenders to prevent further delinquency.
The Correctional Facility (JVA) Cazis Tignez employs around 110 staff and has 150 detention places in closed custody. Of these, 100 are in normal custody, ten in the admission department, 28 in the special custody area and twelve in pre-trial detention.
Due to retirement, we are looking for a Registered Nurse HF – Specialisation in Psychiatry from 1 February 2027 or by arrangement

Your area of responsibility

• Supervision, care and management of admitted persons from various cultural backgrounds within the daily structures
• Coordination and ensuring a smooth running of the individual daily routine of the special custody group with 20 admitted persons
• Co-design of everyday life in the residential groups
• Key worker role within defined responsibilities
• The focus in the enforcement setting is on risk and resocialisation orientation according to validated concepts (e.g. ROS) as well as activation, motivational work and personality development of the admitted persons
• Writing reports and documenting events
• Ensuring and coordinating an orderly operational process taking into account legal bases as well as enforcement and security-relevant requirements and rules
• Performing early, late and weekend shifts

What we expect from you

• Completed training as a certified Registered Nurse HF – Specialisation in Psychiatry
• Initial work experience in a coercive context is an advantage
• Professional experience in supporting people with challenging biographies as well as mental impairments and/or addiction disorders
• You see dealing with people from different cultures who are in difficult life situations as a positive challenge
• Stable, conflict-capable, physically and mentally resilient personality with high social competence
• Assertiveness, ability to set boundaries and willingness to collaborate constructively in a coercive context
• Enjoyment of teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Good written and oral expression in German (at least C1); additional knowledge of cantonal and foreign languages is an advantage
• Driving licence category B
• Willingness to complete the necessary further training
• A clean record (no entries in the criminal record and debt collection register)
