To strengthen our Finance & Controlling team, we are looking for a committed individual as Senior Controller FP&A (m/f/d) at our production site in Kreuzlingen.
Your tasks:
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Responsibility for preparing the annual budget as well as quarterly and rolling forecasts for the production site
- Analysis of actual/budget and actual/forecast variances and identification of relevant business drivers
- Preparation of management reports, key figure analyses and decision-making bases for plant management
- Preparation and commentary of profit and loss accounts, KPI reports and working capital key figures
Controlling & Production Environment
- Support in standard cost calculations, cost centre accounting and variance analyses
- Participation in the preparation and consolidation of manufacturing and performance indicators
- Analysis of inventories, raw materials, WIP and finished goods as well as identification of risks and optimisation potentials
- Collaboration with operations and supply chain for continuous improvement of financial transparency
Month-End Closing & Reporting
- Support of month-end closings and ensuring timely reporting
- Preparation of consolidated financial results and forecasts for management reviews
- Ensuring high data quality and compliance with the group’s reporting requirements
Working Capital Management
- Analysis and improvement of working capital key figures (DSO, DIO, DPO)
- Close cooperation with the shared service centre, supply chain and operations
- Support in inventory write-downs and valuation of slow-moving and obsolete stocks
Business Partnering
- Trusted contact person for finance management and plant management on financial matters
- Translation of operational developments and cost drivers into financial impacts and forecasts
- Support of management in decision-making processes through sound analyses and recommendations for action
Governance, Compliance & Audits
- Ensuring compliance with group policies, internal control systems and relevant accounting standards (IFRS/US GAAP, SOX)
- Support of internal and external audits
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a comparable field
- Further training or additional qualifications (e.g. Master, CPA, CMA) are advantageous
- Several years of professional experience in FP&A, controlling or finance, ideally in a manufacturing industrial company
- Experience with SAP (FI/CO, ideally also PP)
- Very good Excel skills and experience in preparing management presentations
- Knowledge of BI and reporting tools such as Power BI is an advantage
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills
- High affinity for numbers and a good understanding of business contexts
- Proactive, independent and solution-oriented working style
- Strong communication skills and confident appearance at different hierarchy levels
- Ability to prepare complex financial data clearly and appropriately for the target audience
- Team player mentality with a pronounced business partnering approach
- Hands-on mentality and high initiative
- Strong analytical skills as well as a structured, independent working style
- Very good knowledge of MS Office and SAP (FI/CO; knowledge of MM/SD is an advantage)
- Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written
- Hands-on mentality, strong communication skills and enjoyment of collaboration with operational units
