About the job
Your new role
As a community police officer, you make an important contribution to preventive policing and strengthen the trust relationship between the city police and the population. In daily service, you take on general police duties while maintaining direct contact with residents, business owners, and other stakeholders. Your responsibilities also include handling concerns from the public as well as planning and overseeing prevention campaigns and larger events. In operational situations, you may be deployed to lead an operational section and act as a "uniform platoon leader" (first D) at football matches.
This role is for you if you
- hold the federal specialist certificate as a police officer and ideally have six years of service in the police force.
- have experience in planning and conducting larger events and ideally in operational leadership.
- identify with prevention activities and are a sociable, communicative personality.
- are characterised by independence, proactive behaviour, flexibility, and teamwork skills.
- are willing to adapt your duty roster flexibly to the security situation and, if necessary – regardless of the day of the week – perform additional duties.
- have an impeccable reputation and for whom confidentiality and reliability are a matter of course.
