AR Informatik AG (ARI) in Herisau is a special statutory corporation and, with its 80 employees, provides services as a modern ICT company for the administrations of the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden and its municipalities, the cantonal police, schools, the AR hospital network, and other clients from the public-law sector. With a modern and efficient infrastructure, ARI operates around 600 applications and 4,000 workstations at over 200 locations.
In view of the retirement of our Chairman of the Board of Directors due to age, we are seeking an independent, competent, committed, and integral personality as of April 2027 for the position of
Chairperson of the Board of Directors
In this demanding key position, you will shape the further development of a significant ICT service provider in the tension field of technological change, economic corporate management, and the diverse requirements of its public owners and clients.
Together with your colleagues on the Board of Directors, you are responsible within the framework of legal requirements (eGovG) , the eGovernment and ICT Strategy as well as the owner strategy for the strategic leadership and further development of AR Informatik AG. You represent the company internally and externally and ensure the implementation of the objectives set by the owners. As a sparring partner to the CEO, you accompany the further development and consistent implementation of the corporate strategy and promote a constructive and partnership-based collaboration between the Board of Directors and operational management.
You have sound knowledge and a proven track record in corporate management, strategy development, and compliance, as well as experience in ICT management. Several years of experience on a board of directors or a comparable body, ideally in a leadership role, are required. Your strengths lie in leadership and communication. With your pronounced social competence, you make an important contribution to a value-based, constructive corporate culture. You are familiar with political processes and structures of public administrations.
