Central Office for Language Services
From A like "Amharic" to Z like "Zaza" – the specialist group/central office for language services located at the High Court is responsible for quality assurance of around 460 interpreters, 150 translators, and 70 language mediators in communication monitoring, who work on a contractual basis for the Canton of Zurich. The Central Office for Language Services acts as a hub and contact point for various authorities and courts as well as the language service providers.
For the Central Office for Language Services at the High Court of the Canton of Zurich, we are looking for a
Student Assistant (30-40%)
Your area of responsibility
- Co-supervision of accreditation procedures for language service providers
- Providing information by phone and in writing
- Assistance in organizing cantonal and inter-cantonal admission courses
- Support in conducting and supervising written exams
- Administrative tasks such as compiling course materials, preparing shipments, and digitizing files
Your profile
- Good oral and written communication skills
- High service orientation and initiative
- Enjoyment in contact with different stakeholder groups
- Precise, reliable, and structured way of working
- Quick comprehension and willingness to familiarize yourself with new tasks
- Good knowledge of common Office programs
- Ideally, first experience in a commercial or administrative environment
- Resilience and a sense of humor for a sometimes hectic workday
