Widnau is the youngest municipality in the canton of St. Gallen, located as a central municipality in the Middle Rhine Valley with over 10,000 inhabitants. With the after-school care and lunch service, the municipality offers high-quality, family-supporting childcare.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for from June 1, 2026 or by arrangement a substitute (approx. 15-25%) to care for children and young people aged 4 to 12 years at the lunch service.

• Assisting at the lunch service three to five days a week (preferably Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday), from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
• Flexible deployment on other weekdays in case of short-term staff absences
• Accompanying younger children on the way to school
• Co-responsibility for age-appropriate care and support of the children
• Assisting with general cleaning tasks around the lunch service

• Enjoyment in working with children and young people
• Teamwork skills and good communication abilities
• Very good knowledge of German
• Empathy, openness, and tolerance
• Persistence and diplomatic skills
• Reliability and flexibility

• a varied activity with children aged 4 to 12 years
• room for co-design and contribution of your own skills
• a motivated, open-minded, and collegial team
• time off during school holidays
