About the job
The Stiftung Leben im Alter Herisau is home to over 250 elderly people. At the three locations Heinrichsbad, Ebnet and Dreilinden, around 260 employees shape everyday life in our homes. They ensure a high quality of life for the residents and thus make a valuable contribution to society. Care Assistant in Night Shift 80 %
At the Heinrichsbad location, we offer around 130 residents a home in a natural and family-like atmosphere. The Park House, nestled in the beautiful Heinrichsbad Park, comprises three residential groups with around 90 residents. In the Waldegg House, around 40 people with dementia live in two protected residential groups, which are specially tailored to their individual needs.
For the care and support of the residents during the night, we are looking for reinforcement for our team as
Your demanding and varied tasks:
- You independently take on nursing and care tasks within the scope of your competencies.
- You conduct night and control rounds and ensure the safety and well-being of the residents.
- You assist with nocturnal needs, positioning, as well as going to bed and getting up.
- You respond calmly and empathetically to call bells, restlessness and unforeseen situations.
- You carefully document relevant observations and ensure a reliable handover to the day shift.
Our requirements:
- You have completed the SRK Care Assistant course and have proven experience in long-term care.
- You have good German language skills, both spoken and written.
- You treat our residents with respect, patience and empathy.
- You remain calm in demanding situations and act confidently and responsibly.
- You work independently and reliably during the night shift and at the same time appreciate teamwork.
