Career, Study and Vocational Counsellor, 60 - 80%Good for life – that is our motto. The Office for Youth and Career Counselling (AJB) is responsible for child and youth welfare as well as career counselling. Children, young people and families are at the heart of our work. We dedicate ourselves to them daily with great passion and commitment.
The career, study and vocational counselling service informs and advises young people and adults on all questions concerning education and training as well as career and professional development. For the biz Uster (Career Information Centre) we are looking for a career, study and vocational counsellor from 1 July 2026 with a workload of 40% and from 1 August 2026 of 60-80%. The position is limited until 31 December 2026 with the option of extension.
The focus of your activity is on initial training counselling for young people in individual settings. You work closely with secondary schools and conduct school office hours as well as class and parent orientations. Another focus is career counselling for adults. In addition, you will work in our information centre, various projects, events and workshops.
You bring:
- a recognised qualification or an advanced training in career, study and vocational counselling
- if possible, initial professional experience in career and vocational counselling
- sound knowledge of counselling methods and diagnostic tools
- a strong service and quality orientation
- a solution-oriented attitude as well as an independent working style
- a committed and humorous personality with a winning manner
- competence in working with people of different levels of demand
- proficient use of Microsoft 365 and other digital tools
