Portrait of the School/Institution
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a speech therapist. We are a diverse, decentralised primary school with 7 kindergartens, 20 regular classes and 2 classes for special support (KbF). In total, around 540 pupils are taught by 65 teachers in 29 classes.

Tasks
As a speech therapist, you will work at the Schönau school site.
Your tasks include:
- Assessment of support or therapy needs (recording and diagnostics)
- Speech therapy support (individual therapy and small group work)
- Advising parents and teachers
- Interdisciplinary collaboration within the scope of the professional assignment
- Regular professional exchange among the speech therapists of the city of Thun
You can count on the support and help of your colleagues.
The maternity cover is expected to start in mid-November 2026 and will transition into a permanent position after the maternity leave.
Requirements
You have a recognised diploma or bachelor’s degree in speech therapy or are in training to become a speech therapist. Additionally, you are comfortable working with children from cycles 1 and 2.

Two experienced, motivated speech therapists look forward to expanding the team.
Of the 18 lessons, you will also accompany some children with special school status in individual lessons.
