The Breitenstein Center is one of a total of 15 child and youth welfare centers in the canton of Zurich, ensuring a uniform, regionally and municipally well-supported service provision in the areas of youth and family counseling, parenting counseling, mothers' and fathers' counseling, as well as child protection. The Breitenstein Center is the mandate center for child protection for the KESB Winterthur.
Are you an empathetic, organized, and flexible personality who enjoys contact with parents and young children? Then we are looking for you as our new assistant for the mothers' and fathers' advisor.
To support our mothers' and fathers' advisors, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for a committed assistant with heart and an eye for the essentials. The position is hourly paid with flexible assignments at the counseling centers in Andelfingen (every 2nd and 4th Wednesday morning), Dachsen (every 1st and 3rd Tuesday afternoon), and Marthalen (every 2nd and 4th Thursday afternoon). The assignments usually last between two to three hours.
Tasks:
Reception and greeting of parents and children at the counseling centerInformation for families about the counseling processWeighing and measuring infants as well as documenting the values for the specialistPromoting exchange among waiting parents and caring for the childrenRecognizing and forwarding observations or concerns to the mothers' and fathers' advisorProviding and maintaining the infrastructure and materials on site
Requirements:
- Enjoy working with families, infants, and young children
- Responsible, attentive, and empathetic personality
- Organized, independent working style
- Openness to different cultures, religions, and family forms
- Good German language skills, spoken and written
- Flexibility in scheduling
- Driver's license and own car
