JOB DESCRIPTION

For GFT Switzerland AG, we are seeking an experienced individual as Guidewire Lead Architect for the technical leadership and design of complex Guidewire implementation projects in the insurance environment.

In this role, you are responsible for defining the overall technical architecture, ensuring the integration of the Guidewire platform into the existing system landscape, and leading technical teams and stakeholders through all phases of implementation and integration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Architecture and Solution Design:

• Definition and further development of the overall technical architecture, especially experience in Guidewire Cloud and the Guidewire ClaimCenter module. Additional knowledge in the Policy and Billing modules is desirable.
• Development of scalable and sustainable solution architectures considering customer requirements.
• Design of integrations between Guidewire and peripheral systems as well as definition of suitable interfaces and integration patterns.
• Assessment of existing system landscapes and identification of optimisation and modernisation potentials.
• Ensuring compliance with architecture standards, security requirements, and technical best practices.

Technical Leadership:

• Technical leadership and coordination of solution architects, developers, and other technical specialists.
• Support of development teams with complex technical issues.
• Review and quality assurance of technical designs and solution approaches.
• Support in technical effort estimations and planning of implementation activities.
• Promotion of consistent technical implementation across various project teams.

Customer and Stakeholder Management:

• Advising customers on strategic and technical decisions related to Guidewire.
• Presentation and alignment of architectural decisions with customers and relevant stakeholders.
• Close collaboration with business analysts, product owners, project managers, and other business and IT teams.
• Identification and management of technical risks and dependencies.

PROFILE

• At least 8 years of experience in software development and/or IT architecture, ideally in the insurance sector.
• A Guidewire certification is required.
• Several years of practical experience with the Guidewire platform.
• Sound knowledge of Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and/or BillingCenter.
• Experience in developing enterprise architectures and complex integration solutions.
• Very good knowledge of relevant technologies and integration concepts, especially Java, APIs, and REST/SOAP.
• Experience in technical leadership of teams and in complex transformation projects.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and strategic skills.
• High customer orientation and very good communication skills.
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style.
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken.
