The University Clinic for Rheumatology and Immunology combines highly specialised patient care with internationally oriented research and university teaching. The spectrum includes the diagnosis and treatment of complex rheumatological and immunological diseases as well as the development and evaluation of innovative diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. We promote a close connection between clinical expertise, scientific activity, and academic teaching, offering committed doctors the opportunity to actively shape their own academic career.
What to expect
- Care of patients with inflammatory-immunological as well as musculoskeletal diseases in outpatient and inpatient settings
- Assumption of senior consultant responsibilities and participation in the further development of our clinical structures and treatment concepts
- Establishment or further development of an individual clinical-scientific focus within rheumatology and immunology
- Planning, conducting, and publishing clinical and/or translational research projects
- Initiation and participation in national and international studies as well as clinical research programmes
- Active involvement in academic teaching for students and in the training of assistant and specialist doctors
- Participation in interdisciplinary conferences and collaboration with other specialist disciplines and university research groups
- Opportunity to take on additional academic and clinical responsibilities according to qualifications and interests
What you bring
- Swiss specialist title in rheumatology or an equivalent foreign title recognised by MEBEKO; an additional focus or proven expertise in clinical immunology is advantageous
- Several years of clinical experience in rheumatology and preferably experience in a university or academic institution
- Habilitation or comparable scientific qualification or willingness to further develop this within the role
- Proven scientific activity with publications in international peer-reviewed journals
- Experience in planning and conducting clinical studies and/or translational research projects
- Interest in innovative diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as well as in the advancement of personalised medicine
- Experience in academic teaching and enthusiasm for education and training
- High social competence, teamwork skills, and strong communication abilities
- Very good German language skills; good French skills or willingness to acquire them
