Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals and ranks among the best hospital institutions worldwide according to the Newsweek 2025 ranking. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in care, research, and education.
The Pharmacy Service at CHUV is responsible for the manufacturing, supply, and control of medicines intended for hospital patients. Within its Quality Control Laboratory, teams verify the conformity and stability of raw materials and finished products, in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Mission
- You perform physico-chemical analyses on raw materials and finished products (identification, dosage, purity control)
- You learn to master advanced analytical techniques such as UHPLC-DAD
- You participate in the development and validation of new analytical methods
- You ensure the maintenance and proper functioning of the laboratory and its equipment
- You write, verify, and archive your results in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- You collaborate with the Pharmacy Service teams and contribute to the quality of products distributed throughout CHUV.

Training pathway:
- This training is conducted in partnership with EPIC in Monthey:
- 18 months of training at EPIC to learn the scientific and technical basics of the profession
- Then 18 months of practical internship at the CHUV Quality Control Laboratory, with one professional course day per week in Monthey.
