Company Description
The Official Youth Foundation (FOJ) aims to promote the psycho-social development of children, adolescents and young people in difficulty, in collaboration with parents and partner institutions. Bound by a service contract with the State of Geneva, the FOJ is committed to the protection and defence of the interests of the child.
Serving the families of the canton, it operates through four main areas of action: child welfare , emergency reception , family support and preparation for autonomy .
To fulfil its mission, the institution manages 47 structures spread across the Canton of Geneva. It has more than 500 places for minors and young adults, and also offers educational outpatient services at home. The FOJ currently employs 670 staff dedicated to serving young people and their families.
To successfully carry out its mission, the FOJ is looking for an intervenor for its Meeting Point space.
The Meeting Point is a space dedicated to parents benefiting from a visitation order to allow the child to meet them, beyond the difficulties related to their separation.
Job Description
- Accompany visitation rights between children and parents within the Meeting Point premises, according to different modalities
- Ensure the child’s safety within the mandate given by judicial authorities
- Support the parenting skills of the custodial and visiting parent
- Irregular working hours: Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, including public holidays.
Activity rate: 30%
Contract type: Permanent contract
Start date: 1st July or to be agreed
Grade: 13 or 15 according to the salary scale of the State of Geneva

Qualifications
- Bachelor in social work (HETS), Diploma of social educator ES or university Bachelor in a related field (in the latter case, one year of full-time professional practice in residential care or IGE is required)
- Foreign diplomas: formal recognition by SEFRI required (final decision)
- Ability to develop a professional stance adapted to the framework and missions of the Meeting Point
- Flexibility and adaptability to varied and sometimes unforeseen situations
- Ability to work autonomously while fostering team spirit, and a strong sense of initiative
- Stress resistance
- Excellent knowledge of the Geneva social network and its actors
- Good writing skills in French.

Must be Swiss nationality or hold a valid work permit.
