Court Clerk (80-100%) - Supervisory Commission (80-100%)
Your area of responsibility
The task of the court clerks of the Supervisory Commission is to draft motions in all cases that fall within the jurisdiction and competence of the commission. This particularly includes handling reports of violations of the law governing lawyers as well as participating in the hearings of the Supervisory Commission with an advisory vote, including the final editing of the exposés written by the commission members after the resolution. This also includes independently submitting motions in proceedings for the release from attorney-client privilege and supervising the commercial office in maintaining the lawyer register (including lawyer corporations). Of interest here is the substantive connection to all legal topics in civil and criminal law as well as administrative law.
Your profile
Requirements for this varied and demanding activity are very good legal knowledge (lawyer’s license advantageous) and at least two years of court experience. In connection with the introduction of fully electronic legal communication between the Supervisory Commission and the lawyers from January 1, 2027 (revision of the VRG), an affinity for digital work is a prerequisite. Corresponding interest in participating in the commission’s transformation projects is not required but highly desired. Furthermore, resilience, a high degree of independence, a focus on essentials, team spirit, and enjoyment of written work complete your profile.
Our offer
We offer you an exciting role in a small and collegial team with leading personalities from the legal profession, the public prosecutor’s office, and the courts, employment conditions according to cantonal guidelines, and a workplace in an attractive location in the heart of the old town.
