Your new role

In a team of currently 30 experts, you will take on a responsible position with a broad range of tasks at the interface of chemistry, regulatory affairs and international client consulting. Your area of expertise is the regulatory assessment of active substances and biocidal products, especially in connection with physicochemical properties, hazards and analytical methods, as well as the requirements of the Biocidal Products Regulation (EU) No. 528/2012. Your focus is to advance approval projects of our clients in a technically sound, structured and goal-oriented manner.

In your role, you will take a central function in planning and coordinating dossiers for active substances and biocidal products and help translate scientific data, regulatory requirements and client needs into viable approval strategies.

Your main tasks will be:

• You plan and coordinate the preparation of dossiers for the Europe-wide approval of active substances and biocidal products.
• You review and assess the identity of active substances and biocidal products, as well as analytical methods for their detection.
• You evaluate physicochemical properties and hazards of chemical substances and mixtures and contribute this expertise to regulatory strategies.
• You work closely with clients, laboratories, authorities and interdisciplinary project teams to advance approval procedures in a structured, timely and solution-oriented manner.
• You use and maintain regulatory data and documents in relevant software tools such as IUCLID and R4BP3 and support traceable, quality-assured dossier preparation.
• You support the continuous development of our scientific and regulatory expertise in the field of biocides.

About you

• A completed scientific degree in chemistry, food chemistry or natural sciences
• One to three years of regulatory experience with Regulation (EU) No. 528/2012 (Biocidal Products Regulation, BPR)
• Solid experience in dealing with physicochemical properties and hazards of chemical substances and mixtures, as well as analytical methods for characterisation and quantification, ideally with a focus on biocides
• Experience with regulatory software tools such as IUCLID and R4BP3 is an advantage
• Organisational talent, goal orientation and a strong awareness of deadlines
• Very good communication and presentation skills in English; excellent German skills are a significant advantage
