Design Engineer

To strengthen our Product Engineering Team for Industrial Heating at Leister Technologies AG, we are looking for a project-oriented and highly motivated individual with a strong sense of responsibility.
Our Industrial Heating division is responsible for the development and implementation of innovative, technically sophisticated products and technologies in an industrial environment, especially in the fields of process heat and infrared technologies.

• Development of innovative problem solutions in the areas of design, construction, manufacturing and assembly technology
• Participation in assigned product projects, from idea to product launch - according to the innovation process
• Support of manufacturing and assembly of functional models, prototypes and pilot series
• Execution and documentation of component, device and system tests
• Responsibility for the proper and timely execution of conformity assessment according to standards and laws
• Documentation and communication of the findings gained to the R&D and QM departments
• Support in product maintenance and continuous improvement of existing solutions

• Technical basic training as a designer with several years of professional experience and/or further education in mechanical engineering/design engineering HF/FH or mechanical technician TS with professional experience
• Experience in the design of industrial series products in a cost- and quality-oriented environment
• Very good CAD user skills (Siemens Solid Edge) and ideally proficient in handling ERP systems (SAP)
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (injection moulding), materials and production technologies is an advantage
• Very good German and good English skills, both spoken and written
