Convinced that "everyone can make a difference", the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG) have established an Innovation Centre to improve and develop the hospital.
A unique platform for exchange, the Centre fosters collective intelligence by bringing together, valuing and realising the best ideas from staff. Both a centre of expertise and a collaborative workspace, the HUG Innovation Centre (CI) offers a range of services to evaluate, support, nurture, promote and enhance innovative ideas and projects from HUG staff and departments. As a laboratory for experimentation, a catalyst for change and participatory approaches, the Innovation Centre contributes to the transformation of HUG.
A pioneer at the European level in the hospital sector, the Innovation Centre has developed the intrapreneurship model by forging close links with the Patients Partners (PP) project, which has extended its effects and benefits in developing solutions close to patients’ needs, such as the Concerto platform.
Since its launch, around 100 HUG employees participate annually in events and sessions organised by the Innovation Centre. More than 70 innovative projects are catalysed each year.
Job Description
Your role is primarily focused on designing, producing and implementing a variety of communication tools, both digital and physical, to promote the Innovation Centre.
This position may be filled by a versatile individual mastering all the skills described below, or by two complementary profiles:
Communication and Graphic Project Officer
Video Editor / Audiovisual Production (podcasts, interviews, digital formats)
In both cases, candidates must be able to present a portfolio, a book or examples of work demonstrating their technical and creative skills when applying.
As the guardian of the Innovation Centre’s visual identity, you play a key role in the communication strategy and content creation disseminated across all our channels. You ensure a coherent and dynamic online presence on our social networks (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube), as well as on our websites and intranet.
You manage the editorial design and distribution of the monthly newsletter, an essential tool to unite the community of innovators and highlight major news from the HUG innovation ecosystem. You analyse the impact of actions taken using key performance indicators (KPIs) and produce regular reports to adjust the strategy.
Your expertise extends to graphic creation of various materials: posters, brochures, activity reports, promotional materials and goodies. You also develop visual themes dedicated to the Centre’s events and support project leaders in their storytelling by designing tools for popularisation and mediation that facilitate the adoption of innovation within the hospital community.
You contribute to audiovisual production: video recording, editing short formats, conducting interviews and creating immersive content. You also participate in the development of the Centre’s podcast, from editorial conception to final editing. Experience or a strong interest in this area is an asset.
Curious and creative, you explore new formats and propose innovative concepts to enrich our communication methods. The coming year, marked by the 10th anniversary of the Innovation Centre, will offer you the opportunity to design visual and editorial tools dedicated to this celebration.
Qualifications
You have a higher education background in communication, design, digital media or audiovisual production, and have experience in digital communication or multimedia production. Your versatility and ability to work across different formats are real assets.
You master several creation and distribution tools, including: Premiere Pro, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects), Figma, Canva. You are comfortable with Mailchimp, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube platforms, as well as Microsoft Office suite. Any additional skills will be considered a plus.
Autonomous, rigorous and creative, you know how to organise your work, manage several projects simultaneously and adapt to evolving environments. You have excellent writing skills in French and demonstrate good synthesis abilities. Your interpersonal skills, team spirit and positive attitude enable you to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders and contribute to a constructive collective dynamic.
