About the job

The Association for Labour Market Control in the Construction Industry (AMKB), based in Pratteln, conducts inspections on construction sites in Northwestern Switzerland to ensure compliance with industry and local labour conditions and to combat undeclared work.

Clients include various joint commissions of collective labour agreements and cantonal authorities. Several inspection teams are continuously active, regularly visiting construction sites and conducting surveys. Based on these surveys, a team of specialists examines compliance with the working and wage conditions of various collective labour agreements by Swiss companies and posted workers’ companies, as well as suspicions of undeclared work.

As part of a succession solution, we are looking for

a Managing Director

As Managing Director, you are responsible for achieving the inspection objectives. You lead the head of the field team and manage the "In-depth Inspection" team – consisting of experts in law and administration. A staff unit supports you with reporting and IT assistance.

In your role at AMKB, you will gain fascinating insights into the Swiss labour market and its regulation. In exchange with employer and employee representatives as well as the relevant authorities, you form the centre of expertise for labour law issues – especially concerning collective labour law.

You are a team player, have leadership experience, and are interested in labour market issues in the region. With your quick comprehension and analytical thinking skills, you recognise complex contexts and problems, critically question facts, and derive the necessary conclusions and corresponding actions. Additionally, you have a flair for numbers and a confident command of German.
