Your tasks:
As Head of Office, you support the Director as well as the university management of PH FHNW in the strategic leadership and further development of the university. In this key position, you coordinate internal and external affairs, are responsible for central cross-sectional tasks and contribute significantly to the implementation of university strategic initiatives. You act at the interface between the Director, university management, internal organisational units, external partner organisations and various stakeholders, and take responsibility for the operational implementation of strategic projects.
Your core tasks include:
- Leading and further developing the office including the assistant as well as the Marketing & Communication department professionally, personally and financially.
- Managing, coordinating and ensuring the implementation of the strategic affairs of the Director and the university management.
- Coordinating collaboration with FHNW, the Northwest Switzerland education region, the University of Basel and swissuniversities and successfully advancing the corresponding affairs.
- Initiating, leading and taking responsibility for the operational implementation of strategic projects on behalf of the Director or university management.
- Shaping university-wide quality assurance processes and strategically aligning the areas of communication, marketing and knowledge management.
- Being responsible for data protection and contract matters and ensuring the interfaces between university management and internal and external partners.
Your profile:
You are a communicative and discreet personality with pronounced organisational skills and a strong interest in educational and higher education policy issues. Thanks to your structured and independent way of working, you always keep an overview even in complex and dynamic situations and coordinate different stakeholders with confidence.
You also have:
- A university degree at master’s level and many years of professional experience, ideally in a demanding higher education, educational or comparable environment.
- Proven skills in project management, coordination of complex affairs and lateral leadership.
- Confident and target group-appropriate oral and written communication skills as well as pronounced organisational and coordination abilities.
- Entrepreneurial understanding and leadership strength, high resilience and flexibility as well as a pronounced service orientation.
- High reliability, dependability and discretion in dealing with sensitive information and different stakeholders.
