About the job

The Aargau Animal Protection Association ATs in 5417 Untersiggenthal has been committed since 1869 with heart and mind to the protection and welfare of animals in the canton of Aargau. As a section of the Swiss Animal Protection STS, we work daily for responsible animal protection.

In our association-owned animal shelter, around 500 animals find a safe refuge each year, receive medical care, and the chance for a new, loving home.

We offer you an immediately available or by arrangement meaningful and responsible voluntary role in a motivated and dedicated team.

Your tasks

Strategic leadership and further development of the association
Organisation and chairing of board meetings (approx. 4 times a year) as well as the general assembly (once a year)
Representation of the association externally, including media appearances
Close collaboration with management and the board
Maintenance and expansion of the network with authorities, political decision-makers, as well as associations and partner organisations
Active representation of animal protection concerns in the political and social environment
Co-responsibility for the association’s finances

Your profile

You are interested in animal protection and want to make a difference.
You have leadership experience, ideally in an association or a non-profit organisation.
You think strategically and take responsibility.
You are strong in communication, decisive, and enjoy working in a team.
You have a good network or enjoy building relationships with authorities, politics, and partner organisations.
Political experience or knowledge of political processes, public administration, or advocacy is an advantage.
