Group Leader Children's Residential Group 80-100%
The work in our children’s residential group Ammonit is intensive, demanding and not always predictable. We support children and young people with severe cognitive and partly physical impairments, some of whom display very challenging behaviour. Situations can change within a very short time. What was calm a moment ago can suddenly demand your full attention. This requires high presence, patience, resilience, clear action and a professional attitude, even when things get difficult. Not everyone can or wants to do this work. It demands expertise, inner stability and the ability to remain calm in very challenging situations, to take responsibility and to convey security. If you have a genuine passion for working with children and young people and this challenge appeals to you, then you are right with us.
- You lead a team of 8 employees in professional, organisational and personnel matters
- You take on tasks in the direct care and support of children and young people with severe cognitive and/or physical impairments as well as highly challenging behaviour
- You are responsible for the practical training of a FaBe MmB apprentice and a social pedagogue in training
- You are responsible for the further development of the employees
- You act as the interface for the flow of information between the department management and the team and ensure cooperation with internal interfaces
- You maintain contact and cooperation with parents and/or legal representatives
- Completed training as a social pedagogue or nursing specialist HF with a social pedagogical flair
- Solid experience in working with people with impairments
- Experience in leading a small team
- High personal and professional resilience as well as the ability to remain calm and capable of action even in intense situations
- Patience, clarity and a respectful, professional attitude in dealing with highly challenging behaviour
- Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration and taking on responsibility
- Independent and varied work in a lively environment
