Right in the middle of Zurich in the vibrant District 5, we are responsible for the further development of the entire Mainframe platform. Together with us, you take care of the installation, configuration, and availability of Db2 on the mainframe. Besides Db2 and its tools, we are responsible from hardware to middleware (Mainframe base, IMS, and MQ central). In collaboration with architecture and security, you develop solutions for secure and stable Db2 operation.

Your tasks

Installing, maintaining, and operating Db2 subsystems and Db2 tools on z/OS
Designing and implementing security and architectural requirements
Further developing and optimizing Db2 automation
Analyzing and performance tuning of business-critical databases and their processes
Updating and further developing Db2 documentation
Resolving system failures and on-call duty (approx. 5 times a year)
Implementing Db2 application requirements and maintaining the associated databases

Your profile

Completed vocational training
Several years of professional experience in designing, building, and optimizing highly available Db2 subsystems
Comprehensive knowledge in database tuning and error diagnosis
Solid knowledge in automation and monitoring
Strong know-how in Db2 z/OS, SQL, REXX, and JCL
Experience with IMS-TM and/or IBM MQ is an advantage (not a requirement)
Constructive, solution-oriented, and team-oriented working style
Very good German skills (at least C1) as well as good English
