Your new role
From 10 August 2026, we are looking for a classroom assistant. The workload is 34-37 lessons per school week. You will accompany a young person who, due to a congenital physical impairment, has limited independence and therefore requires support with numerous everyday tasks as well as managing school life. In close cooperation with the teachers and the special education teacher, you will support the young person in class. The Oberstufe Centrum consists of the Blumenau and Bürgli school buildings. Around 470 secondary school students attend the school in the heart of the city of St. Gallen. The young people are taught by 70 teachers.
This position is suitable for you if you
- enjoy working with young people.
- are patient and one of your strengths is a pronounced social and personal competence.
- have experience in accompanying and working with people with physical impairments.
