About the job
The Ageing and Care department of the City of Winterthur offers a diverse range of services for the population of the City of Winterthur in the five senior centres as well as with Spitex. Volunteer work at Ageing and Care of the City of Winterthur aims to enrich the daily lives of the residents in the 5 senior centres individually and is regarded as a valuable complement to the existing care and activation services. From 1 November 2026 or by arrangement, we are looking for a competent individual who, together with a colleague and approximately 200 volunteer staff, will shape the volunteer work at Ageing and Care. You will contribute to ensuring that volunteer work offered by Ageing and Care, City of Winterthur, is tailored to the needs of our residents. You will impress with your professionalism and commitment and work efficiently with your team colleague and the residential groups of the senior centres.Your Tasks
In addition to coordinating assignments within the framework of volunteer work in the Adlergarten and Neumarkt senior centres, you will be responsible for organising and planning training and appreciation offers for the volunteer staff. Your area of responsibility also includes:- Advising the individual residential groups on the deployment of volunteer staff
- Working according to BENEVOL standards
- Administrative tasks
Your Profile
- Advanced technical college (HF) or comparable education or further training
- Social and communication skills
- Experience in the field of volunteer work/Caring Communities
- Initiative, flexible personality with organisational skills
- Competence in teamwork and the ability to share responsibility
- Very good oral and written German skills
