About us - Financial Accounting (FIBU)
We ensure proper financial accounting at the University of Bern. We maintain the accounts, prepare financial statements and ensure accurate and transparent financial reporting.
Tasks
- Processing and clarification of accounts payable invoices, expenses, dunning and debt collection cases as well as other transactions
- Management of business partners and correspondence with internal and external stakeholders
- Responsibility for the further development of SAP and function as superuser
- Participation in and management of projects
- Co-responsibility for the development and delivery of training courses
Leadership tasks (as deputy)
- Professional and personnel management of the accounts payable team
- Ensuring smooth daily operations as well as the internal control system and approval processes
- Contact person for internal audits within the area of responsibility
Requirements
- Completed commercial training with further education as accounting clerk
- Several years of professional experience in financial/accounts payable accounting
- SAP experience is an advantage
- Willingness to take responsibility and lead employees in the absence of the head
- Good user knowledge of MS Office products
- Precise, independent and service-oriented working style as well as strong team skills
- Languages: German and English with good oral and written expression
