The Cantonal Health Centre Appenzell (GZAI) ensures high-quality and reliable elderly and health care for the population of Innerrhoden. For numerous needs along the treatment chain and in various phases of life, the GZAI offers a needs-based service.

The Cantonal Health Centre Appenzell is also one of the largest employers in the canton and provides jobs and training places for around 270 employees in various professional groups.

From 1 January 2027 or by arrangement, we are looking for a

Your tasks

• Overall responsibility for personnel administration within the employee lifecycle in compliance with cantonal regulations and guidelines (personnel ordinance, instructions, regulations, etc.)
• Sparring partner and deputy for our payroll expert
• Development, implementation and support of measures for onboarding new employees and employee retention
• Management of the HR team (3 employees)
• Advising managers and employees on HR-related topics
• Development and implementation of HR concepts and projects
• Participation in cross-departmental projects as the professional representative of HR
• Responsibility for planning and conducting leadership development training

Your profile

• Advanced training/education in HR with a federal diploma/at HF level
• Payroll know-how
• Several years of practical and leadership experience in a comparable position
• Strong IT skills (MS Office, Abacus, Polypoint PEP)
• Excellent German, spoken and written
• Affinity for healthcare and close connection to the region is an advantage
