The Columns department researches, develops, and produces the heart of ion chromatography here at the international headquarters in Herisau. For the product maintenance team, we are looking for a

Chemist (m/f/d)

Your tasks

• You will manage yield improvement projects for the products and intermediates of the Columns department
• You will oversee in-house manufacturing projects in response to deviations (NCMs) and announcements (CRMs)
• You will accompany projects for the development of new syntheses for chemicals. You will take care of all steps from planning and conducting experiments to evaluating results, creating and supplementing Standard Operating Procedures, and presenting results to stakeholders
• You will support NCMs/CRMs (root cause analyses, evaluations, conducting experiments, characterizations)
• You will design new methods for polymerizations

Your profile

• You have a completed degree (preferably a Master's or PhD) as a chemist or chemical engineer and bring solid professional experience in polymer chemistry or the polymer industry
• Ideally, your profile is complemented by knowledge in statistical data evaluation as well as chromatography
• You are characterized by your pronounced analytical thinking and action as well as your high self-motivation, reliability, and sense of responsibility
• You enjoy dealing persistently with both theoretical and practical challenges
• You have the ability to communicate appropriately with stakeholders and appreciate teamwork just as much as focused, precise, and independent work
• You speak fluent German and can also communicate in English
