Leadership support for the Head of Department 60 - 80%With around 1400 employees, the Correctional Services and Reintegration (JuWe) is responsible for penal and measure enforcement as well as for the implementation of various types of detention. Our employees from around 40 professions support and promote the reintegration of offenders and are committed effectively and progressively to a safe and just society.
The Medical Service is one of eight main departments of JuWe and, as a central organisation, is responsible for the medical-somatic basic care of all incarcerated persons in the institutions of the Canton of Zurich. With around 90 employees, it ensures medical care from initial assessment through treatments to emergency care and supports incarcerated persons in their daily health-related questions.
To support the Head of Department, we are looking for a committed, independent, and highly organised individual who actively shapes strategic and operational topics and effectively supports management in the demanding leadership day-to-day.
Your role includes
- Leading, coordinating, and participating in strategically relevant projects as well as continuous development of structures, processes, and standards
- Planning, organising, and moderating workshops, project, leadership, and team meetings including preparation and follow-up, ensuring effective implementation
- Preparing analyses, concepts, decision-making bases, presentations, and reports to support management in strategic and organisational matters
- Accompanying organisational developments and change processes, including developing optimisation proposals and tracking measures
- Participating in strategic personnel planning, the budgeting process, and the development of leadership and organisational structures
- Building and leading the pool team as well as developing and ensuring effective quality management
- Harmonising and optimising professional operational processes and supporting the application and development of project management methods and tools
Your skills and qualities
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in health sciences and further training in project or health management at CAS level and have several years of professional experience
- You have knowledge of organisational development, corporate culture, and project management or are willing to engage deeply with these topics
- You are an organisational talent, prioritise confidently, and work independently, structured, and carefully – even in demanding situations you keep an overview
- You recognise optimisation potentials, approach them proactively and innovatively, contributing to continuous improvement
- You are interested in interdisciplinary collaboration on equal terms and can integrate the needs of various work partners into your work
- Thanks to your IT affinity, you quickly familiarise yourself with digitalisation topics and different software
- Additionally, you need an impeccable reputation to work with us
