YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

In this responsible position, you will take on the strategic and operational overall responsibility for the HR area as the head of human resources at the production site of the ELANTAS Division (formerly Von Roll Switzerland AG) in Büsserach with around 220 employees. You shape the HR agenda in close alignment with the company goals, implement global HR processes of the ALTANA AG Group, and act as a sparring partner for management as well as a member of senior management in an international environment.

• The position reports directly to the Managing Director and functionally to the regional HR organization Europe
• Overall responsibility for all strategic and operational HR processes along the entire employee lifecycle at the production site
• Consulting and supporting site management as well as managers in all personnel-related matters
• Development and implementation of a site-specific HR strategy in close coordination with the company orientation
• Ensuring compliance with labor law, legal and regulatory requirements as well as responsibility for HR systems (e.g., SuccessFactors), data management, and reporting
• Independent implementation and continuous development of HR projects and initiatives using modern HR tools (e.g., talent management, recruiting, employee retention)
• Close cooperation and active exchange with the European HR organization and the Centers of Excellence (CoEs) of the ALTANA Group
• Professional and disciplinary leadership of the local HR team (Payroll Specialist/HR Generalist) including targeted development of employees as well as ensuring a service-oriented, efficient, and future-oriented HR organization

YOUR PROFILE

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, or a comparable qualification
• In-depth knowledge of recognized HR practices as well as a solid understanding of labor law frameworks
• Comprehensive expertise in talent acquisition, employee lifecycle, and compensation & benefits
• Strong knowledge in change management and organizational development
• Analytical thinking with confident handling of HR metrics and KPIs
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Strategic thinking combined with a pragmatic, results-oriented working style
• High integrity, discretion, and strong judgment
• Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written (mandatory); the position requires the ability to communicate complex matters precisely, appropriately, and confidently in both languages – also in challenging situations
