The Zurich Opera House, with around 600 employees in 146 professions and over 300 events per year, is one of the most productive cultural venues in Europe.

We are looking from 1 December 2026 or by arrangement

a Technical Project Manager 60 - 80% (m/f/d)

With us, you do not plan serial products. Every stage set is a prototype. What looks spectacular on paper must be built, moved, transported, operated safely – and performed reliably every evening.

This is exactly where you come in.

You

- accompany stage sets from the first idea to the premiere,
- translate artistic designs into technical solutions,
- develop constructive solutions in steel, wood and mechanics,
- create construction plans in CAD,- obtain quotes, award contracts and organise transports,
- coordinate workshops and external partners in close collaboration with the costume department,
- plan rehearsal decorations and accompany rehearsals until the premiere,
- take on technical planning for special events at the Opera House.

You bring:
You are an engineer in theatre and event technology (FH/BA) or have comparable experience. You are familiar with CAD and constructions in steel and timber and have basic knowledge of statics. Above all, you enjoy thinking in solutions. You can communicate just as well with artists as with colleagues in the workshops and stage technology. You keep an eye on deadlines and enjoy projects where the answer is not yet fixed at the start.
