Company Description

MET International AG (METI) was established in 2010 in order to consolidate and develop MET Group’s international natural gas sales and purchase portfolio, as well as to establish a trading arm for commodity lines.

METI is responsible for providing highly competitive supply structures to its gas and power sales affiliates, optimizing its power generation assets, managing the LNG portfolio, and trading around international positions.

MET International has seen an exponential spike in the complexity of its strategic project portfolio after the recent growth along its business, geographic and organizational scope.

Therefore, we aim to extend our capability to manage this complexity in our CEO's Office by adding a dedicated new associate to our team.

Job Description

• Create (or coordinate the creation) of high-quality business presentations and proposals required in executive-level decision-making
• Bridge the gap between strategy and execution by liaising with colleagues in all ranks of the organization, serving as the crucial interface between trading desks, internal functions and other business divisions of MET Group
• Contribute to and coordinate initiatives (ranging from strategy, M&A, organizational, to technology / AI-related topics) that drive business growth and/or process improvements
• Act as an interface between the CEO and various functions for operational follow-ups and speak on his behalf if required
• Monitor relevant developments and market news in the energy trading industry
• Conduct desk research and analysis related to the implementation of new processes and/or tools

Qualifications

• Exceptional aptitude towards problem-solving and improving the performance of organizations
• Quick turnaround times in creating high-quality material based on various information sources (desk research, own analysis and in-person interactions)
• Ability to translate complex analyses into proposals and to communicate them in a clear and concise manner to senior leadership
• 2-3 years of exposure to the energy/commodity trading industry
• Experience in management consulting (with special emphasis on strategy or technology-related consulting) is a plus
