Job Description

The Senior Cyber Security Cloud Engineer will be located in Geneva and will report to Vitol Group CISO.

He will:

  • Design and review security architectures for cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability assessments for cloud environments.
  • Ensure cloud security practices comply with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
  • Develop and implement automation for security monitoring, alerting, and incident response in cloud environments.
  • Work closely with DevOps, IT, and other teams to integrate security into cloud-based projects and initiatives
  • Assist in Incident Response investigations and mitigation when required
  • Act as SME with project teams and developers
  • Expect duty to expand beyond normal business hours

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, with focus on cloud security.
  • Knowledge of best practices in modern security architectures and incident responses
  • Solid knowledge of a corporate IT environment leveraging internal, external and hybrid cloud infrastructure
  • Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS or Microsoft cloud security certifications
  • Proficiency in cloud security services and tools (e.g., AWS IAM, Azure Security Center, Azure SIEM, Azure Defender).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation).
  • Knowledge of container security and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience in a commodities trading environment an advantage
