Manager, Procure to pay

VF Corporation is looking for an exceptional Manager, Procure To Pay to join our team based in Stabio, Switzerland.

Let’s talk about the role!     

In this role you will be responsible of leading the Procure To Pay team, and for managing the day-to-day operations for a specific process area.

You will govern service delivery performance against targets and manage interaction with internal customers who are being served from the Procure To Pay team service tower and engage with stakeholders as required.

You will deliver Procure to pay process improvement in align with transformation plan.

You will coordinate property service incidents resolution and work closely with outsourced provider delivery center lead/s and process area teams, to resolve ongoing performance issues and understand the root cause of the service issues.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1.  Service Delivery

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operational delivery of Procure to pay, including coordination of the outsourced provider, and ensuring that all A/P-related transaction processing and reporting activities are completed in a timely and high-quality manner.
  • Manage the allocated Procure to pay Team to prioritize activities, as required, cascading the priorities to outsourced provider and retained team.
  • Ensure that processes which are executed are in line with the process design, ensuring adherence to standards set by the Global Process Framework.

2.   Service Performance Management

  • Manage service delivery performance against targets; ensure control and service delivery according to agreed quality and time.
  • Focus on driving operational metrics and KPIs in order to meet SLAs and Business outcomes.
  • Monitor, review and evaluate operational metrics, including dashboard reviews and follow up / validate as required with involvement of outsourced provider.
  • Work to interpret SLA contractual framework defined within the outsourced provider engagement and monitor adherence.

3.   Governance

  • Act as 1st point of escalation for processes delivered from the retained team or from the outsourced provider.
  • Accountable for the resolution of service incidents, failures and ongoing performance issues and troubleshoot of any day-to-day issues.
  • Provide input required for processes re-design; e.g. review all new expansion and transformation opportunities and provide review on risks, issues etc.

4.  People/Team Leadership

  • Manage a lean operational team of people working on the process and coordinate outsourced provider activities, provided as a service.
  • Set process-based objectives and targets for individuals that are linked to MBO's and align with the wider company strategy.

5.   Continuous improvement and transformation

  • Initiate ideas and drive structured initiatives to generate innovation within the service tower, leveraging also on outsourced provider transformational capabilities.
  • Involved in process design workshops to shape and challenge the global design for in-scope processes and supports the Global Process Experts in driving the key meetings around continuous improvement.
  • Work with the Global Process Experts and Transformation & Transition (T&M) Lead (internal and/or from outsourced provider provider) to discuss and agree on continuous improvement initiatives across the process.

Skills for Success

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and /or abilities required for the individual to be successful in this position.

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a manager, with background in PTP.
  • Languages: Proficient in English spoken as well as written.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; Master’s Degree in Management Engineering, Finance, Accounting or Economics.
