Has hands-on experience and a strong academic background in topics like up-cycling of waste streams, climate change mitigation measures and cleaning of water and air.
Develop, refine and manage individual and unique projects while coordinating the project team members' (including cross-functional) daily activities to meet challenging schedule milestones and objectives
Direct collaboration with internal business innovation teams, applications R&D, engineering/production, and outside institutes/universities as appropriate.
Responsible for identifying patentable inventions and acting as principal investigator in conducting his or her own experiments
Qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the results of analyses and the preparation of relevant conclusions in publishable form, use of statistical tools
Coordinate input / output for material costing, capital equipment expenditures, etc.
Advise peers and senior management on how to best use research findings
Has hands-on experience and a strong academic background in topics like up-cycling, land reclamation
Degree in a environmental sciences or adjacent discipline: MSc with minimum 3 years experience; or, preferably, a PhD
Experience working in a laboratory is a must
Fluency in English and (with at least basic proficiency in German preferred)
Readiness to carry out own experiments in a laboratory environment
Ability to contribute to scientific papers together with peers
Is willing to travel domestically and internationally (about 1 week / month maximum)
Proactive, target-oriented, systematic and willing to work on multidisciplinary projects
Is a team player who can work in team to ensure successful project completion
Adapts easily to new environments and is flexible
Can think out-of-the-box and has an innovative point of view
