HR Functional Support Specialist
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Functional Support Specialist to support the rollout and enhancement of key HR systems and processes. This role is part of a broader HR modernization programme focused on implementing and improving solutions such as Workday (Core HCM, Time Tracking, Absence, Compensation, Talent Management) and ServiceNow for HR.
As a key member of the HR Modernization team, you'll work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to support system rollouts, test functionalities, assist with training materials, and ensure a smooth transition for end-users. Your focus will be to help deliver intuitive, high-quality HR tools and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Support the implementation of Time Tracking, Absence, and future Payroll systems.
- Gather and document requirements, assist in creating functional specs.
- Assist with data gathering, testing, training, and user support.
- Help resolve system issues during implementation and post-launch (Hypercare).
- Create and deliver user-friendly training and documentation.
- Collaborate across teams to improve existing processes and HR data flow.
- Support continuous improvement efforts and user feedback integration.
- Maintain system accuracy and assist with data cleansing and testing.
- 3+ years' experience in an HR or HRIS environment.
- Solid understanding of HR processes and sensitive data handling.
- Experience with Workday (especially Time & Absence) or ServiceNow is a big plus.
- Strong skills in testing, training delivery, and end-user support.
- Proficiency with tools like Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- A customer-focused, detail-oriented approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Experience with Payroll implementation projects.
- Hands-on involvement in Workday or ServiceNow rollouts.
- Knowledge of GDPR, compliance, or HR legal frameworks.
- Broad HR generalist experience across recruitment, talent, performance, or compensation.
- Start date: As soon as possible (latest 01.09.2025)
- End date: 31.07.2026
- Extension: Highly likely
- Location: Basel ( 50% on-site, with 20 days remote working)
- Workload: Full-time (100%)
