La Faculté des Sciences de la Société met au concours 1 poste d’assistant-e en comportement politique au Département de science politique et relations internationales.

Le-la candidat-e retenu-e devra assurer les enseignements suivants au niveau Bachelor en science politique, y compris la surveillance et la correction des examens ainsi que le suivi des étudiant-es :

- 2 séminaires au Bachelor en science politique
- Séminaires d’encadrement des Projets de recherche en science politique (Bachelor en science politique)

Le-la candidat-e sera également appelé-e à développer des recherches propres en vue de la rédaction d’une thèse de doctorat et à effectuer des publications scientifiques.

Titre et compétences exigés

- Être titulaire d’un Master en science politique ou relations internationales ou titre jugé équivalent
- Démontrer des compétences et un intérêt marqué pour la recherche en comportement politique
- Maîtrise du français (oral et écrit) et de l'anglais

Informations complémentaires

Le-la candidat-e sera engagé-e sur un contrat du DIP de deux ans qui pourra être renouvelé pour deux périodes successives, respectivement de deux ans et un an. La durée maximale de la fonction d’assistant-e est de cinq ans. La première année constitue une période d’essai pendant laquelle il peut être mis un terme au contrat de part et d’autre, moyennant un préavis de 1 mois pour la fin d'un mois.
Le sujet de thèse doit être officiellement déposé auprès de la Faculté avant le terme de la première année.

The Geneva School of social sciences is offering a position as an assistant in political behavior in the Department of Political Science and International Relations.

The successful candidate will be required to teach the following courses at the Bachelor's level in political science, including supervising and grading exams and monitoring students:

- 2 seminars in the Bachelor of political science
- Seminars supervising research projects in political science (Bachelor's degree in political science)

The candidate will also be required to develop their own research with a view to writing a doctoral thesis and producing scientific publications.

Necessary skills and requirements
- Master’s degree in political science or international relations, or an equivalent degree
- Proven research skills and interest in political behavior
-Proficiency in French (spoken and written) and English

Additional Information
The candidate will be hired under a two-year DIP contract, which may be renewed for two successive periods of two years and one year, respectively. The maximum duration of the assistant position is five years. The first year constitutes a probationary period during which the contract may be terminated by either party, subject to one month’s notice to the end of a month.

The thesis subject must be officially submitted to the Faculty before the end of the first year.
