This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we’ve announced the plan for SoftBank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. This Position reports to:

You will be an integral part of the global Robotics Division and a key contributor to the Cluster’s overall success. You will drive profitable growth initiatives across multiple market segments while fostering a strong customer focus and a continuous quality improvement culture within the Cluster. You will lead the Robotics Eastern Europe Cluster, including direct management of the Business Line Industries, and provide oversight of the Automotive Business Line and Robotics Customer Service. You will work closely with all Business Line leaders to ensure aligned execution and sustainable, profitable growth across the Cluster.

Your responsibilities

• Strategy & Growth Leadership: Lead and execute the Cluster strategy in alignment with global objectives to drive sustainable growth.

• Business Performance & Profitability: Oversee targets, P&L, and overall financial performance across all business lines.

• Organizational Leadership & Development: Build, lead, and develop high-performing teams aligned with business needs.

• Customer & Market Expansion: Strengthen key relationships and identify new business opportunities across the region.

• Operational Excellence & Efficiency: Optimize cost structures, improve productivity, and drive cross-functional collaboration.

• Governance & Fiduciary Responsibility: Serve on boards of legal entities within the cluster, ensuring proper governance, compliance, and strategic oversight across business lines.

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred

• 15+ years of leadership experience in automation, robotics, or industrial environments, including full P&L responsibility

• Proven track record of delivering profitable growth in complex, multi-country and matrix organizations

• Strong strategic, commercial, and financial acumen, with experience in business transformation and operational excellence

• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at executive and board level

• Proven commitment to continuous learning and self-development, with the ability to adapt to evolving technologies, markets, and organizational needs

• Willingness to travel internationally and strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards
