We are looking for a hands-on and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team in the Basel region. In this role, you will take broad responsibility for accounting, payroll, tax, purchase-to-pay process, statutory reporting, and support the preparation of the IFRS consolidated accounts. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external service providers, auditors, and management, while actively contributing to finance improvement and digitalization initiatives.

Your responsibilities
- Own and manage accounting activities for BioVersys AG in Switzerland, prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual closings as well as VAT reportings and tax returns.
- Manage payroll for BioVersys AG in Switzerland and support HR administrative activities
- Coordinate with external service providers accounting, reporting, payroll and taxation for two group entities
- Manage the Purchase-to-Pay Process
- Prepare the statutory Financial Statements and support IFRS consolidation, budgeting, and financial planning processes
- Prepare project reports and invoices for research grant organizations
- Prepare financial information and documentation for auditors, creditors, government agencies, investors, and other stakeholders
- Lead or support finance improvement and digitalization projects, including process optimization and tool implementation
Your profile
- 5+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting
- Relevant accounting qualification, such as Swiss Certified Expert for Accounting and Controlling, Fiduciary Expert, experienced fiduciary background, or equivalent education
- Strong knowledge of Swiss accounting requirements and good understanding of IFRS
- Proven experience working with ERP systems, ideally Abacus
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy, reliability, and a high sense of accountability
- Hands-on mindset with the ability to work independently and take ownership
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing organization
- Collaborative team player with strong communication skills
- Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken
