À propos de cette offre
At Copenhagen Atomics, we believe that abundant, reliable and affordable energy is fundamental to human progress. Since 2014, we have been developing a new generation of nuclear energy technology based on thorium molten salt reactors. Our ambition is to industrialize nuclear energy through mass manufacturing, standardized reactor systems and a fundamentally different approach to deployment and economics.
Copenhagen Atomics is approaching 100 employees across Denmark and Switzerland, with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, technicians and commercial professionals.
As we enter the next phase of our growth, we are looking for an exceptional Chief Financial Officer to join our executive team and lead our financing and capital strategy from Zug, Switzerland.
The role
This is not a traditional CFO position focused primarily on accounting and reporting.
We are looking for a commercially minded CFO with a strong track record in capital raising, investor relations and financial structuring who can help finance Copenhagen Atomics through its transition from technology development toward industrial deployment.
You will work closely with the CEO, Board, existing shareholders and investors and will take a leading role in executing the Group's financial strategy.
A central objective will be securing substantial new investment for Copenhagen Atomics and building long-term relationships with institutional investors, family offices, strategic investors and other sources of growth capital.
The position is based in Zug, Switzerland, and reports directly to the CEO.
Key responsibilities
You will take responsibility for:
- Capital raising — lead equity and other financing processes and build a strong international investor pipeline.
- Capital strategy — develop financing structures appropriate for a rapidly growing deep-tech and energy company with significant long-term capital requirements.
- Investor relations — establish and maintain trusted relationships with institutional investors, family offices, strategic investors and financial partners.
- Financial leadership — develop the financial planning, reporting, forecasting and decision-making capabilities required as the Group scales.
- Corporate structuring — work with management, legal advisers and the Board on financing structures, subsidiaries, strategic investments and major commercial projects.
- Leadership — build, develop and lead a high-performing finance and investment organization.
- Governance — support the CEO and Board with financial analysis, risk management, reporting.
- Execution — create disciplined processes that enable the organization to move quickly while maintaining financial and professional standards.
The profile we are looking for
You have substantial experience in finance, investment or corporate development and, importantly, a demonstrated ability to raise significant amounts of capital.
We expect that you:
- Have successfully raised capital for a technology, deep-tech, energy or high-growth company.
- Have played a leading role in one or more significant financing rounds; experience with transactions approaching or exceeding USD 100 million would be particularly relevant.
- Have a strong understanding of corporate finance, financial modelling, capital structures and investment analysis.
- Understand how professional investors evaluate technology companies with long development and commercialization horizons.
- Have an established international network among investors, financial institutions, family offices or strategic investors.
- Are comfortable personally engaging with investors, presenting complex technology and commercial opportunities, negotiating terms and closing transactions.
- Can operate effectively in an entrepreneurial environment where priorities and organizational structures evolve rapidly.
- Combine strategic thinking with a strong bias toward execution.
- Demonstrate high levels of integrity, transparency, sound judgement and personal accountability.
- Communicate professionally in English. German or Swiss German would be an advantage.
- Are willing to be based in Zug and travel internationally as required.
Experience from nuclear energy is not required. Experience financing complex technology, infrastructure, energy, industrial or deep-tech businesses would be highly relevant.
The person
Copenhagen Atomics has an entrepreneurial culture with ambitious technical and commercial goals.
We value people who take responsibility, think independently, communicate openly and act with integrity. We believe strong teams are built around trust, personal accountability, intellectual curiosity and freedom to act.
You should enjoy ambitious goals, difficult problems and an environment where progress matters more than hierarchy.
We are looking for someone who wants to help build one of Europe's most ambitious energy technology companies — and who has the drive and financial experience to help turn that ambition into a globally scalable business.
Why Copenhagen Atomics?
