Because our business is growing fast, we are looking for talented people to strengthen our main offices that provide support to all restaurants. To complement its Operations department based in Crissier, McDonald's Switzerland is looking to fill the role of :
Workplace Safety Consultant (50-70%)
In this exciting role, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of national operational strategies and ensuring administrative and organisational coordination for the Operations department, in order to guarantee consistent standards and effective project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and administer the G14 group solution for McDonald's Switzerland in compliance with EKAS Directive 6508, including audits and follow-up actions
- Support franchisees and restaurants with labour inspections, implementation of safety standards, and overall health and safety compliance
- Manage and maintain the Safely web tool and organise relevant training sessions for restaurant teams
- Act as a key contact for authorities, police, partners, and service providers, anticipating and managing safety- and health-related risks
- Advise and support restaurants on incident prevention (theft, violence, workplace safety), including monitoring events and managing preventive measures
- Oversee security management for the Head Office in Crissier, including access control, evacuation procedures, and internal safety training
- Monitor national safety projects, coordinate internal communication, and ensure proper implementation of safety and health standards across restaurants
- Translate and adapt documentation for internal operational control and safety tools
What You Need to be Successful:
- Certified Safety Assistant (STPS) or Workplace Health and Safety Specialist with a Swiss Federal Certificate (or equivalent)
- 3-5 years of professional experience in the field
- Proven experience in hospitality, quick-service restaurants, or the food industry
- Strong expertise in risk assessment, workplace safety management, and safety audits
- Demonstrated ability to identify risks, develop prevention strategies, and implement effective emergency and crisis management plans
- Experience in designing and delivering health and safety training programs
- In-depth knowledge of local and international occupational health and safety regulations
- A structured, reliable, and solution-oriented working approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and train employees on safety and health culture
- Fluent in French or English, German is a plus
