The Product Management Team Cable Connectivity has the vision of being a global best-in-class Product-Life-Cycle-Management organization for RF-Components (Comp), RF-Cable. The organization promotes solutions for mobility, communication and safety needs of the world. Outperforming the competition by in-bound and out-bound product-related customer communication and interaction. In this way Product Management establishes trust and increases customer value. In this position you will report to the Vice president R+D & Product Management, and you will be part of the Department Management Team.
- Lead a Product Management Team of nine Product Managers
- Analyze market, customer, and competitor information to identify market characteristics, trends, and opportunities
- Define and prioritize target markets, segments, buyers, and users, including buying decision processes
- Monitor key market drivers such as technological developments and regulatory changes
- Own and maintain Product Books (current state, customer focus, sustainability, roadmaps, and competitor overview)
- Initiate and steer competitive research, incorporating feedback from Sales and other channels
- Develop and concrete new product ideas in close, cross-functional collaboration, especially with R&D
- Build compelling product propositions, variants, and application scenarios for different target segments
- Compile robust business cases including forecasts and financial analyses to support investment decisions
- Develop and implement product and portfolio strategies, including positioning, roadmaps, and release planning
- Manage the project and product portfolio within the gatekeeper community in line with business strategy
- Define pricing strategies and tactics and lead IN/OUT licensing approaches
- Track and review product performance using relevant KPIs such as revenue, margins, market share, and supply chain performance
- Enable the organization through requirements management, product rollout, training, and lifecycle-appropriate supply chain setup
- Support go-to-market, launch, and sales activities through product communication, training, and sales support
Your profile
- Minimum 10 years of global leadership experience in Product Management, including strong practical application of strong market and application know-how for RF?CA (High frequency Cable Assembly) products, including emerging and potentially disruptive trends and technology drivers
- Experience in industrial companies is required
- Deep product knowledge of RF (High frequency) components and a solid understanding of the competitive landscape
- Proven technical expertise in RF?CA manufacturing processes and related production technologies
- Advanced knowledge in high and radio frequency technology, RFCA product design and industrialization (CAD, simulation, modelling, testing) and interface to production engineering
- Experience with measurement technologies as well as market-specific verification, validation and compliance procedures, particularly for automotive applications
- Solid understanding of market- and country-specific compliance requirements, including export control and qualification processes
- Innovation-driven mindset with experience in global coordination of product and technology development initiatives
- Strong project management and leadership capabilities, including people leadership and line supervision in a product management and/or development environment
- Good understanding of the supplier landscape for raw materials, processing technologies and measurement equipment
- Knowledge of sales channels, distribution networks and pricing policies as key levers for market success
- Ability to orchestrate the full marketing mix (product, price, promotion, place) across defined product lines
- Experience in product life cycle management with a strong focus on quality and sustainability
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage and influence diverse, multicultural and cross-functional audiences
- Entrepreneurial, resilient and adaptable personality with the ability to manage change, deal with ambiguity and perform effectively under pressure
- Professional working language skills in English and German (German: minimum B2 level)
- Good IT proficiency (Microsoft Office / O365, PDM, ERP systems)
- Willingness to travel (up to 10%)
