Store Associate (Experienced) – Oakberry Açaí Basel

Oakberry Açaí is an international brand dedicated to serving high-quality açaí bowls and smoothies, prepared fresh to order. As we expand in Basel, we are seeking experienced, reliable team members with a strong background in hospitality to deliver a consistent, premium customer experience.

Your Role

As a Store Associate, you play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations, maintaining high standards in product quality, hygiene, and customer service. You are comfortable working independently during busy periods and contribute actively to a well-organized and efficient store environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional and friendly customer service, ensuring a positive experience for every guest
• Prepare and assemble açaí bowls and smoothies according to Oakberry standards with speed and precision
• Maintain strict hygiene and cleanliness standards in line with food safety regulations
• Operate the point-of-sale system and handle transactions accurately
• Ensure proper stock handling, replenishment, and basic inventory control
• Support opening and closing procedures, ensuring the store is fully operational at all times
• Identify and proactively resolve operational issues during your shift
• Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a structured and efficient workflow

Your Profile

• Experience in gastronomy, food service, or retail (fast-paced environments preferred), ideally 1–3 years
• Good understanding of hygiene and food safety standards
• Ability to work independently with a structured and reliable approach
• Comfortable handling busy service periods with speed and accuracy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Hospitality training, such as Progresso or vocational education (EFZ/EBA in gastronomy or similar)
• Alternatively, strong hands-on experience in a comparable role

Languages:

• German and English required
• Portuguese is a plus
