The 1. Interview was via Microsoft Teams with the Head of testing laboratory and another employee. The 2. Interview was then in the company (Flums, Swiss) with Lab Head, GM and Recruiter (online). During the 2. Interview the conversation was delightful until it came to the salary negotiation. They did not refuse my salary requirement directly, however, did not put any offer on the table neither. Afterwards, I got a rejection letter with an insufficient reason. That's fine! It should be due to my salary requirement. After obtaining the rejection letter, I politely wrote an email to the Recruiter and ask, whether the company could pay the expenses for the interview (such as travelling costs). And again, a rejection letter with the following sentence: We only compensate the travelling costs for interview in the case of an employment!!! So please pay attention!!! Before you travel to the company for the 1./2. Interview, please make sure that they will pay for the travelling costs, unless you are 100% sure that YOU ARE THE ONE!
