This works well in the company
Some employees are excellent, and the teams are good. Depending on the work location, there’s a good team atmosphere and plenty (almost too much) freedom. If there’s a coffee machine, the coffee is good, but you have to pay for it yourself.
This could be improved
The management is poorly organized; it consists of former Migros executives who are out of touch with what’s happening on the front lines. The quality of jobs has declined significantly since the Movemi takeover because many staff members were laid off and individual employees have to take on the workload of 2–3 people. Internal career opportunities are sometimes not allowed. Social benefits are worse despite the company’s affiliation with Migros because it is no longer directly part of Migros. Virtually nothing is prepared for new employees when they start work. Long-time maintenance employees are dissatisfied, and new hires rarely stay longer than the probationary period. Important facts are not mentioned during the hiring process and only become clear once on the job, leading to poor decisions on the part of employees. The work hours—especially the early morning start time—aren’t for everyone. Depending on the location, there are some odd requirements for inspections.
