The structured organization is a clear advantage for larger catering contracts. The management culture is value-based and respectful. Work is structured, and cooperation between operations and central services generally functions well. As in any organization, there are different perceptions. In some cases, the impression is created that appearance is weighted more heavily than measurable goal achievement. Financial stability and the long-term orientation as a cooperative create planning security for employees and clients. However, individual business areas are performing below average and are weighing on overall performance.

As a cooperative, the company has a stable and structured setup. At the same time, well-defined processes and hierarchies sometimes lead to longer decision-making processes. In a dynamic market environment, more speed and entrepreneurial freedom would be useful in certain areas. In multi-unit structures, performance-oriented managers should be given greater responsibility for actual results. Pure OKR target systems fall short, especially when contribution margins exceed targets without this being adequately rewarded. Clear profit-sharing models would promote entrepreneurial thinking. Standardization is underway and strategically correct. It is necessary to improve calculations, processes, and margins in the long term. A uniform minimum sales price would be absolutely necessary in certain segments. In the education sector in particular, there are companies with structurally weak performance that are a burden on the entire enterprise. More consistent operational control would be necessary here. The need for change is sometimes approached with caution internally because the perception of possible negative reactions (both internal and external) is given great weight. In my view, it is worth being more courageous in implementing change: if measures are properly prepared, well communicated, and timed appropriately, the situation usually normalizes quickly and the focus returns to the operational impact.

Individual questions about the job were answered very well and one had a very good feeling during the interview. The corporate values are lived and communicated accordingly.
