• Your mission at Climeworks is to be the electrical grid expert supporting our strategic engagements and contracting efforts with renewable energy providers to make sure we are sourcing clean, reliable energy to help meet the energy needs of our Direct Air Capture (DAC) facilities.
• You manage our grid interconnection strategy for our DAC facilities from initial site selection through to DAC start-up and operations.
• You carry out transmission modeling using PROMOD, PSS/E, or PowerWorld to provide feasibility level analysis for DAC developments and renewable energy development projects, thereby supporting siting decisions for our global DAC project pipeline.
• You coordinate within Project Development to develop an interconnection plan and deliver transmission and interconnection services for a pipeline of DAC projects.
• You perform all aspects of transmission analysis for the development of new DAC projects in target markets.
• You are responsible for providing all technical and cost information to project developers required for the project's interconnection.
• You provide guidance on design standards and codes.
• You support the assessment of regulation and tariffs for the respective grids, such as regarding interruptible tariffs.

• You hold an Electrical Engineering university degree with a focus on Power Engineering.
• You have 3 to 6 years of work experience with an IPP or renewable energy developer, paired with experience in regulated and de-regulated markets managing interconnection processes.
• You have experience in PROMOD, PSS/E, PSCAD, ASPEN, and PSLF.
• You possess a can-do attitude and a desire to solve and overcome challenges.
• You desire to work in a cross-functional team, contributing your expertise, and communicating technical challenges to both technical and non-technical team members.
• You maintain a positive attitude and value different backgrounds and experiences.
• You are proficient in English.
