Expert International GmbH (www.expert.org) has the task to support the development of the Expert Group and to represent shared interests of the members of the group towards international suppliers and other business partners and stakeholders.

ABOUT THE JOB

Goal of the position

To successfully develop the relationship between the Expert Group and the international suppliers in the category Small Domestic Appliances (SDA)

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate and develop the international agreements with international suppliers
• Support the Expert Group members in achieving the targets set in the agreements. Continuously liaise with the national category teams and arrange category meetings to enable strong alignment internally in the group
• Work closely with suppliers to monitor the performance against defined targets and identify where action is needed to impact performance

Knowledge, skills and abilities

• Excellent negotiation skills. The ability to influence others also without formal authority
• Excellent communication skills. The ability to build relationships with different people from different cultural backgrounds
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken. The ability to communicate in other European languages is a big advantage
• Hands on attitude - the ability to function in a lean team
• Able to travel
• Relevant industry experience from working in an international retail or supplier environment, in retail / sales / product or category management
